Several times per week, we receive calls from Maryland tenants who believe they have been wrongfully evicted. While this office does not represent residential tenants, we believe that landlords should follow the rules for taking action against tenants in rent court, and tenants should be informed of their rights.
After learning that a 2012 study of rent court cases revealed that 17.5% of cases for that year were wrongly decided to the tenant’s detriment, we decided to publish this page as a resource for those seeking information about maneuvering Maryland’s rent court process.
